Structural Components & Features

• Main Beams/Frame: Two strong, parallel steel I-beams or C-channel beams that run the length of the trailer. These are the primary load-bearing structures.

• Crossmembers: Spaced strategically to provide support at the specific points where a container's structural rails would sit. The front and rear crossmembers have the most critical components.

• Corner Locking Mechanisms (Twist Locks): The most important feature. These are rotating conical locks located at the four corners of the trailer frame that engage the standard corner castings on the bottom of the container.
